Associate Professor Paul Yates is a geriatrician and clinician-researcher with expertise in dementia, frailty and geriatric medicine in hospital and community settings. He is Director of Research and the Cognitive, Dementia and Memory Service, Continuing Care division, Austin Health, and Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Medicine, Austin Health, University of Melbourne. He is also a foundational member of the Australian Frailty Network and a member of the ANZSGM Scientific and Research Committee and Dementia Australia Research Foundation Scientific Panel.
He has extensive experience as Principal or Sub-Investigator on clinical trials in AD, including CLARITY AD, AHEAD A345 and Trailblazer Alz5, and has been heavily involved with the implementation of disease modifying dementia treatments in Australia. He initiated and chairs the Australian Dementia Network Novel Dementia Therapies Community of Practice, with over 300 members around the country. This grassroots group aims to champion the translation of new diagnostics, treatments and care paradigms across the country.
