Dr Batta is an Australian-trained Geriatrician with experience in memory disorders, perioperative care and geriatric oncology. She is the Head of the Department of Geriatric and Rehabilitation Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and also provides private outpatient and inpatient perioperative care.
Dr Batta has been actively involved in dementia research since 2017 and is a principal investigator and lead of the RAH Memory and Geriatric Trials Unit where she leads the Unit’s clinical trial program. Through this role, she is committed to developing and expanding access to innovative dementia clinical trials for patients in South Australia.
With lived experience of caring for family members with dementia, Dr Batta is a strong advocate for empowering people and their families to navigate their dementia journey with dignity, compassion and access to evidence-based care.
